About me
Fresh perspective.
Hands-on know-how.
All in one.
I'm a curious, analytical and forward-thinking professional who combines strategic thinking, creative problem-solving and hands-on delivery. My diverse professional and personal experiences have taught me to see things from different perspectives, connect people and turn ideas into action.
My journey has been equally varied: born and raised in Finnish Lapland, shaped by 15 years in Berlin and now based in Helsinki. Along the way, I've explored 45 countries and encountered countless people and cultures. I find balance in cottage life in the heart of Finland's Lakeland.

Connecting the dots across industries
In recent years, I've worked across tourism and regional development, the textile and fashion industry, and the data economy. I've also deepened my expertise in service design and futures studies. My cross-sector experience helps me bring fresh perspectives, apply ideas across industries and build effective collaboration.
International experience and insight
I've worked with businesses, industry associations and public organisations across Finland and Europe. Having lived and worked in Germany for 15 years, I understand different business cultures and ways of working. I work fluently in Finnish, German and English.
Flexible support, tailored to your needs
Not every development project requires a large consulting team. I offer experienced advice and hands-on support, bringing in trusted specialists from my network when needed.

Why "Frau Ruokamo"?
There’s a bit of history behind the name. While living in Germany, I ran a business called Frau Ruokamo Media & Marketing, offering international business consulting and marketing communications services.
The name came naturally from the German business environment. Formal forms of address are still common in Germany, and to many people I worked with – at least when we first met – I was simply Frau Ruokamo.
The name stuck and received plenty of positive feedback. So when the time came to launch a new consulting business in Finland, bringing Frau Ruokamo back felt like the obvious choice.
